Arriving in Munich

I arrived in Munich to a cold and snowy day and a warm welcome by Peter Marra, a fellow vipassana meditator, documentary maker, and a ZOB Angel volunteer. ZOB Angels are a group of volunteers who station themselves at ZOB, the central bus station in Munich in the evenings to welcome people on the move with warm clothes, warm food and warm smiles. The group was founded by a German woman of Palestinian-Lebanese heritage. More tomorrow when I spend the evening volunteering with them. Presently, I’m at the city’s main library, feeling nicely warm and a bit sleepy. I only got 45 minutes of sleep last night, and a couple of catnaps on the train over.
